The Buda Black History Celebration is an event meant to celebrate, educate, provide resources to, and support the black community. The 2024 theme is "African Americans and the Arts" spanning the many impacts Black Americans have had on visual arts, music, cultural movements, and more. This is a FREE event open to anyone in the community.

Come one, come all for Buda's spookiest event of the season! Dress up in your scariest attire and compete in the annual costume contest. Then be ready to feast on a monster-ous amount of candy from dozens of vendors. There will be food vendors and a haunted house, plus story time with the Buda Library.

Join us every weekend in July for a night that’s going to get you singing “you’re the one that I want!” (oo’s included 😋) Presented by the City of Buda Parks Deparment, Arts in the Park show cases talent from across Texas. This summer, the Central Texas Theater Academy brings you Grease the Musical:
Sandy Dumbrowski, the new girl in town, and Danny Zuko, the school’s coolest greaser, have a secret summertime romance - but when they get back to school, everything is different. Sandy attempts to navigate the tricky Rydell High School social waters and catch Danny’s attention again, but Danny is chiefly concerned with maintaining his tough-guy reputation. In the end, the Pink Ladies help Sandy figure out how to win back the leader of the Burger Palace Boys.

26th Annual Wiener Dog Races
Cheer on your favorite wiener dog while also enjoying the other fun activities that are happening at the fair. Other competitive events can be observed, such as the Spelling Bee, BBQ cook-off and bake-off. Arts and crafts vendors and live entertainment can be enjoyed throughout the weekend.
